The Birthers and the Citizeners …. A Letter From Aunt Gladys

In 2008 US Presidential Election ushered in the 56th President of the United States. The Election, carried out every 4 years, was completed on 4 November with the new president officially sworn in on 22 January of 2009

Democrat Barack Obama, then the junior United States Senator from Illinois, defeated Republican John McCain, the senior U.S. Senator from Arizona. Obama received a sweeping mandate by winning 365 electoral votes vs. 173 for his Republican opponent John McCain.   This mandate would have been sufficient to give Obama unprecedented powers should he have been the candidate with the necessary skill and experience to use it.    He was not.

Barack Obama ran on a simple platform promising sweeping change in the machinery of government and gave his popular constituency a hope that he was neither able to, nor did he actually have any intention of carrying out. It was a great disappointment in the man and his agenda.

This election packed so many firsts that it stands out in US political history as the most significant since WW II.     It was the first U.S. presidential election, in which a non-white received the nomination of one of the two major parties as well as the first election in which a non-white was elected President,

During the early stages of Obama’s campaign,  the negative noises,  normal in US elections in general,   were focused on his color, his liberal agenda and his inexperience.     His opponents in the racist South, dismissing him as one with little to no chance of going anywhere in his bid for the top boss job, were only rattled by the precedence he had set for Non-Whites to run for the great office of president of the United States.

But once Obama's real sweeping popularity became obvious and his chance of winning the election loomed larger than what his detractors thought it comfortable to contend with, Conspiracy theories began to be weaved and emerge.   Accusations ranging from his religion, his origin, and oddly enough, his membership in terrorist organizations flew left and right propelled by the nutter machinery of over the top radio talk shows.

But perhaps the most outrageous and most egregious attack designed to discredit Barack Obama and render his bid for office illegal and his winning unlawful was the question of his US birth.    A conspiracy theory of sort concocted by his most implacable enemies purported that he was not born in the United States, a constitutional condition that must be met for anyone to run for the office of president  and occupy the White House.

Confident of his position and aware of the hidden hatred,   Mr. Obama  elected to remain aloof and dismissed his attackers as unworthy of the dignity of response.   However, the attacks escalated and the Obama advisers had enough of the nonsense and showed his official birth record in the state of Hawaii ending the vicious rumor.

This is where the resemblance is to a case that has taken Egypt by storm. Mr. Hazzem Abu Ismail,   an accomplished lawyer and a conservative from the group known as the Salafi Muslims,   does not mince words when he speaks of America as the reigning Lucifer over the dominion of the Earth.   His strong position towards taking Egypt out of the subservient role to the United States and building it to full independence economically, politically and militarily has ruffled the feathers of the Neocons and the Zionists who rule the US.

History has repeated itself.    At the behest of the Obama administration a story was concocted claiming that Mr. Abu Ismail is not lawfully entitled to run in the presidential race in Egypt.   Why? His mother, the Egyptian authorities allege, was a naturalized United States Citizen. This, according to Egyptian law,  precludes Mr. Ismail from running in the race.

Mr. Ismail demanded proof of this allegation and countered by saying that his deceased mother had been holder of a permanent residency status in the US but had not been actually naturalized.   When pressed,  the Egyptian Government produced a nonsensical letter it claimed came from the United States Department of State claiming that the lady in question was naturalized in 2006 but presented no material evidence admissible at law,  nor presented any credible facts other than a perfunctory purport that the US does not tell a Lie!    Ridiculous and retarded as this may sound, it is actually all the evidence that the Egyptian government presented to support its case against Mr. Abu Ismail.

Judging by the similarity of the cases between both Mr. Obama’s detractors, who came to be known in the US as the Birthers, and Mr. Ismail’s detractors, whom I am dubbing the “Citizeners”,  it appears that this seemingly fraudulent and unsubstantiated allegation was cooked in the political kitchen of the US Department of State.

A letter from the State Department without supporting documentation in the form of official photocopies of original records with photos signatures dates and official seal of the United States is not proof of anything, much less admissible as evidence in a court of law since it seems that this is where the case will be heading in Egypt. 

It really amounts to nothing more than a sworn statement from your Aunt Gladys stating that she had seen you applying for citizenship and receiving your naturalization certificate.

And while Aunt Gladys may be telling the truth, she could also be biased, corrupt, senile or legally blind, and while a court of law would treat her kindly and take her testimony only perfunctorily under advisement it would dismiss it as inadmissible or at best insufficient evidence presented as hearsay.

US naturalized citizens pass through a myriad of procedures and Tape-Recorded Video Interviews, and their files undergo exhausting processes each of which leaves a heavy paperwork trail of archived material and authenticating documents. And once Naturalization is completed and Citizenship is granted, an ornate certificate of naturalization is presented in a highly publicized ceremony with funfair, while also Photographs are taken for official as well as ceremonial proof. All this is ready and available to any senior State Department official authorized to respond to a request for evidence submitted domestically or by a foreign entity provided that it meets the standard set of laws controlling freedom of information as well as privacy of information.

The Egyptian Ministry of the Exterior's claim that it had received Citizenship information regarding Mr. Abu Ismail's mother's status of naturalization is a lie for the simple reason that No authorization had been obtained from the deceased person or her immediate family to release this information in accordance with United States Information Privacy Law, and the US government, while has vested interest in discrediting Mr. Abu Ismail and ending his bid for Egypt's presidential election, would not risk violating Federal law and the subsequent scandal associated with that in addition to risking criminal litigation in US Courts..

Regardless of whether the allegation has any merit, surely someone in the US negative rumors machinery must have known that if they made the allegation they would have to produce the supporting evidence,  and that the supporting evidence should be more than a letter signed by Aunt Gladys swearing that she was a friend of Mr. Abu Ismail’s mother and she had seen her with her own very eyes applying for US citizenship.

Shame on you Mr. Obama, and Shame on you Hillary Clinton. I expected something a little more professional out of both of you. Next time, perhaps may I suggest a letter from Uncle Pete swearing that Aunt Gladys is not a crook!

Bird Wild Life in Egypt is Surprisingly, Well … Wild and Diverse.   But because interest in birds in Egypt is strictly constrained by taste pallets and the rather mundane iconic images of a delicious-looking roasted variety found on dinner tables, not many Egyptians know much about the wild side of Birds Life!

For example, let us examine the case of a rare type of vultures about which, there is a proverb least rare and ubiquitously common in Arabic folkloric literature.  There is a saying in Egypt’s folklore which goes like so: “Kites Don’t Just Drop Young Chicks in Flight!” … In the US, it is equivalent to, "There is No Such Thing as a Free Lunch."

A meaningful parody to this hilariously satirical folkloric reflection would be to think of a rare case in an otherwise very common species, the species of International Diplomats. .....  Dr. Muhammad Al Baradei is that rare case.  Known only to his US Zionist friends by the irreverent nickname; MoMo, His predicament brought about a huge windfall profit for him and placed it squarely into his hands as an advance payment for his dirty deed against his own country.

A generous check of  $20 Million Dollars was handed to Him by an Ardent Zionist Jew named George Soros in a special fund raising event arranged for him in the prestigious Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he stood in front of 2000 invitation only attendees and said, " My name is "Mo  Al Baradei", I am a retired UN agency president, and am looking for a job ...!

Soros represents the Kite and the $20 Million Dollars represent the putative Dropped Young Chicks from the Skies! … Or, the American equivalent of a, supposedly, Free Lunch...!

When asked about the source of this windfall profit, Al Baradei responds by claiming it was a gift from an interested party! ... Friends-type, interested-party! ... Interested in what, we ask!  ... OK, let us just say that “The Kite Dropped it in Flight!”, he mutters! 

But the all too wise Egyptians know that “Kites Don’t Just Drop Young Chicks in Flight!” Because vultures are much too clever to loose valuables in flight, save perhaps when it is bait for a much bigger kill …. Got the parody now, MoMo? ......

And while this proverb may be as old as the Egyptian Kite, the Kite has been officially declared extinct by the Audubon Society yet the saying never did follow the Kite into extinction …. Perhaps maybe because MoMo is still around? … 

Another example of wild bird life in Egypt has to do with the unconventional Painted Snipe, which is an Egyptian Native Marsh-Land Bird, where the husband takes care of the nesting while his one-time mate goes off in search of new lovers.

This reminds me of an Egyptian female Motion Picture Director named Inas Al Deghadey. The woman, even by Western Standard, is a dingy reprobate. An old crone openly floozy and extremely profligate.
  
She calls for institutionalized prostitution and demands absolutely Free-For-All Open Sexual Libertine environment and a social milieu that promotes and encourages sexual deviancy in Egypt, where the divine law or the law of the land, for that matter, she unabashedly insists, should not interfere! …

Hence the Deghadey – Painted Snipe Laws for a New Risqué Egypt, Free From Inhibition, that , according to the profligate Old Crone or the Old Bat if you prefer, is the modern Egypt that should be …!

فى زمن الجنيه الجبس  (كما يحلو لأحد أبناء عمومتى من نصف عائلتى المصرية بالقاهرة أن يقول)  كتبت نفيرتارى  فى مقدمة وصف نفسها للآلهة وهى تقدم لهم القرابين فى كتاب الخلود تقول أنا من سلالات الطير ولست من سلالات الشجر, تمرق روحى باالآفاق فى لمح البصر, وأصعد للآلهة أنهل منهم العلم لرعيتى , وشراييني تتلقى الحكمة من أشعة ضوء القمر, أحزن كالأسماك وفي عيناي ألوان الصواري, وأقرأ فى أجنحة الصقور صلاوات النيل وفى عواء الذئاب مواقيت السَفَر 

وبقراءة متقنة لتلك الكلمات نستخلص أن الملكة الهانم كانت تتملكها عقدة النرجسية بقدر ما كانت تتملكها عقدة الإلاهة وسيطة الخلود ومانحة الهداية لرعيتها الضالة بدون حكمتها , وأيضاً يبدو أنها كانت تتملكها بعض نوبات  الإكتئاب بين الحين والآخر,  ربما لأن زوجها الفرعون العظيم رمسيس كان مشغولاً بالحروب وبناء صروح شامخة ومحاريب وتماثيل تخلد تاريخه وقد برع فى ذلك إلى حدود مذهلة

وفى صغرى كمصرى خليط الدماء كنت أتوق لمعايرة أقرانى الأميريكانز فى المدرسة الأولية هنا فى  الولايات المتحدة بأنهم سلالات قوم بلا تاريخ,  وأطالبهم باعتبارى سليل الفراعنة العظام أن يقدموا لى قرابيناً بعد كل درس من دروس تاريخ مصر القديمة والتى كانت من أكثر مقررات الدراسة إثارة لنا فى سنوات عمرنا الولى 

وبقدر ما كان تاريخ مصر القديم وانتمائى إلي دماء أبى المصرية يمنحنى ذلك الغرور الصبوى وسط أقران سنوات الصبا الأولى فى المدرسة الأولية  والذين  أبهرتهم حضارة مصر القديمة والهالة الأسطورية التى أحاطت كل شيء نسب إليها,  كان ذلك الغرور يتحطم حطاماً كارثياً فى الثلاثة أيام لنهاية الأسبوع التى كنت أحضر فيهم المدرسة الإسلامية العربية فى المركز الإسلامى مع أقران كانوا إما مثلى من دماء مخلوطة أو من دماء  غير مخلوطة حيث كنا نتعلم حقائق تلك الحضارة الكهنوتية التى كرست كل مقدراتها لعبادة الفرعون الفرد الإله المتجبر من منظور هويتنا الإسلامية وهناك تعلمت مبادئ اللغة العربية وقرأت القرآن والحديث والتاريخ العربى والإسلامى الذى من خلاله تحددت هويتى وتتطور واكتمل انتمائى العقائدى وتأصلت رغبتى المستقبلية فى قراءة لتاريخ السياسى لمصر والأدب العربى

وأي قارئ لتاريخ مصر القديم لا يجد صعوبة فى التعرف على تلك الظاهرة التى خصص فيها الشعب المصرى الذى بنى حضارة مذهلة بكل المعايير فى  خمسة آلاف من السنين عددا,  عبد فيهم الإلاه الفرعون ثم شهدت دولتهم العظيمة سقوطاً مهيناً مع آخر فرعون من دماء مصرية خالصة وهو يهرب جنوباً إلى إثيوبيا أمام جحافل قمبيز الأول إمبراطور الدولة الفارسية ليحتل الفرس مصر قرابة الثلاثمائة وخمسين عاماً من الزمن حتى جاء ألكساندر العظيم الملك  الإجريجى من ماسيدونيا ويطرد الأفارس ويبنى أعظم مدينة فى 

التاريخ القديم لا تضاهيها واحدة أخرى,  والتى تحمل إسمه حتى لحظتنا هذه وتتضائل أمامها روما فى كل حقبها التاريخية القديمة , ويترك البلاد لكبير قادته توليمى الأول الذي أعاد مجد الدولة المصرية , وبخاصة فى عهد حفيدته كليوباترا السابعة التى كانت واحدة من سبع ملكات يحملن نفس الإسم كانت هى آخرهن وأكثرهن حسناً وأكثرهن جدلاً وتأثيراً فى تلك الحقبة الهامة من تاريخ مصر

و أثناء زيارتى الأخيرة لمصر كان من أهم معالم الحضارة التى وضعت زيارتها فى أولويات اهتمامى زيارة دار المخطوطات الإسلامية,  والتى أعيد تسميتها دار الكتب. وقد كتبت مقالتين عن دار الكتب إحداهما فى اللغة العربية هنا لأنها صنفت فى اليونسكو واحدة من أعظم معالم الحضارة الإنسانية قاطبة

.فى دار الكتب وقع نظرى على  إصدار حديث عن دار نشر يبدو أنها من دور التراث الثقافى العربى بالغ السيط تسمى دار الهلال , وكان ذلك الإصدار مجلد وثائقى عن حكام مصر على مر العصور بالصور والتاريخ,   وأبحاث كاملة عن كل حاكم وتاريخه وإنجازاته وعن كيفية تعامل شعب مصر معهم وبخاصة هؤلاء الذين استثاروا مشاعر شعب وادى النيل الوديع,  وبالرغم من أن ما قرأته تطلب إلماماً تاماً ليس فى اللغة العربية فحسب ولكن فى دقائق الفولكلور لمصرى كاملاً فإن من حسن حظى أننى لم أكن بدون عون ومساعدة من كل من كانوا حولى توضيح معانى المفردات العامية التى لم أجدها فى معاجم اللغة العربية المنتشرة على النترنت 

ولقد كنت سمعت كثيراً ولمست بنفسى حقيقة أن الشعب المصرى يتمتع بدرجة عالية من الذكاء الفطرى وأول مشاهد تلك الظاهرة هى انتشار روح الفكاهة  فيه أو ما يعرف فى كل الأوساط العربية ب  خفة الدم المصرى, والذى قرأته كان من نوادر تلك الظاهرة فيما يتعلق بكيفية تعامل الشعب الذكى الوديع مع بعض هؤلاء الحكام

ومن أطرف ما قرأت فى ذلك الإصدار هو أن المصريين كانوا " زهقانين" من الحكام الأجانب ولذلك فقد عرف تاريخ مصر كثيراً من الثورات والانتفاضات عندما كان الشعب قادراً على ذلك , وفى الأزمنة التى لم يستطيعوا فيها القيام بثورات حاربوهم بالكلام حتى أن المؤرخ المصرى  إبن إلياس كتب يقول فى مخطوطه الكبير " بدائع الزهور فى وقائع الدهور":  " إن حملت الأنفس ما لا تطيق أطلقت الألسن ما لا يليق" ... ويصف ابن  الياس  تلك الحرب الكلامية التى كان يشنها المصريون ضد طغيان حكامهم الأجانب بتلك الوصاف

المقابحة , المشاتمة , التشهير , التجريس , السباب , الهجاء , الردح , الزعيق , التقليس , التشليق , المعايرة , النأورة , التريقة , البلضمة , الشلضمة , البرطمة , الرطننة , البرجمة , الزنجرة , البهدلة , المأمزة , النأمزة , النقذقة , اللعلعة , اللعننة , الولولة , الدعاء , النواحة , النياحة , الزبلحة , القر , العياط , الصريخ , وأخيراً .... الطرطقة

هكذا نشرت دار الهلال فى عددها الخاص الصادر بمناسبة إعادة انتخاب الفرعون المخلوع للمرة الرابعة عن المؤرخ المصرى الكبير  إبن إلياس

وإننى أستطيع أن أتصور أننى أفهم معانى الكثير مما كتب  ابن إلياس عن لسان شعب مصر , فأستطيع أن أفهم المقابحة والمشاتمة والسباب والدعاء والصريخ والتشهير , بل أستطيع أن أتصور أننى عرفت ما هى الزنجرة والبرطمة والولولة والردح  بعد أسألة مختصرة , ... وحتى اللعلعة باتت واضحة بعد استفسار سريع

ولكن ما لم أستطيع  تصوره هو إعلان الحرب على المستعمر المستبد ب ال الطرطقة !   ما هى حرب الطرطقة ؟هنا فى الولايات المتحدة يلجأ طلاب المدارس الثانوية إلى تلك النوع من الحرب يعلنونها إعراباً عن تذمرهم ضد سلطات المدرسة الديكتاتورية وبخاصة أمام كاميرات الإعلام ولا يعاقب عليها القانون الجناءى ولكن تعاقب عليها لوائح لتصرف  التهذيبى للمدارس

.ويبدو أن المؤرخ المصرى القديم إبن إلياس وجد ذلك اللون من الحروب طريفاً إلى القدر الةى دفعه لوصف أحداثه وصفاً تفصيلياً. ولا ندرى ربما قرأ طلاب المدارس الأميريكية وصف ابن إلياس وفاتنى هذا الدرس وقت ما كنت منهم وذلك ربما يفسر أن ذلك اللون من الحروب منتشر هنا بين صفوفهم

والطريف فى الأمر أن دار النشر (دار الهلال) رأت غاية الطرافة فى سرد التفاصيل التى وردت من قلم ابن إلياس ربما لعلمه بأ طلاب المدارس الأميريكية مستقبلاً , قارئين طرائفه , سوف يكونون من أوائل جند ذلك اللون من الحروب

ربما كان من الأفضل أن أترك تلك المسائل  لابن إلياس ... فهو المؤرخ وهو الحكيم

حضارة تبنى من أجل الزرع والحصاد و حضارة  تستقطع من زرعها وحصادها لتبنى محاريب عبادة لجثة إله مملحة

وبعد ذلك بثلاثة آلاف سنة حكمت مصر امرأة فائقة الحسن والذكاء ولكنها لم تكن مصرية وإن اقتصر أثر دماؤها الأجنبية على سلوكها الشخصى والسياسى,  فيما عدا ذلك فقد حكمت مصر كفرعونة إلاهة يطيعها طاعة العبادة الكهنة وكبيرهم وقادة جيوشها وأمراء بحارها على السواء , والرعية على أمرهم مغلوبون ومكلوبون كعهدهم طوال تاريخ مكتوب امتد قرابة السبع آلاف عام

ويشهد نفس الزمان  فى الناحية الغربية من عالم الحضارات القديم مشهداً من نوع آخر هناك يقف القيصر الرومانى جوليس سيزر فى مجلسه الجمهورى مزهواً بانتصارات جعلت من جمهوريته إمبراطورية عملاقة ويعلن  نفسه إمبراطوراً ديكتاتوراً مدى الحياة على الرومان إيذاناً بإلغاء أول جمهورية  فى التاريخ وإعلان الديكتاتورية الملكية وثار عليه مجلس السيناتورز وقام اثنان من أعضائه   برووتس  و  كاسيوس   باغتياله طعناً بالمدى أمام الملأ من المجلس واندلعت حرب أهلية  وبرغم انتصار أنصار القيصرالمقتول تحت قيادة  مارك أنتونى و أوكتافياس أوجاستاس عادت  الجمهورية  إلى روما 

وتقول الأنشودة واصفة تاريخ مصر السياسى وتمضى المواكب بالقادمين من كل لون وكل مجال فمن عصر مينا إلى عصر عمرٍ ومن عصر عمرٍ لعصر جمال وتسكت الأنشودة عن شعب مصر الذى قام بتأليه القادمين من كل لون وكل مجال إذ إن التاريخ يقول لنا صراحة إنهم جميعاً كانوا يستعبدون الشعب ويأخذون خوف الشعب معهم أينما مضوا فى مواكبهم أو إلى أهراماتهم وقبورهم

ثم كانت اتفاضة الشعب فى الخامس والعشرين من يناير 2011 ولعل الحدث كان  أكبر من التاريخ إذ نسى العالم تاريخ الشعب وانبهر به يخرج بعد سبعة آلاف من السنين عبد فيها فراعينه ليقول للفرعون المتوج على العرش إرحل , إرحل , إرحل     ورحل الفرعون خاسئاً ذليلاً     ووقف الدهر يحيى الشعب الذى ضرب له مثلاً فى صبر القادر وقدرة الصابر وثورة المسالم الذى سالت دماؤه  من أجل أن يمسك بأعنة مصائره ولكن بقيت رواسب القرون والتى كانت قد تأصلت فى البناء الفكرى والوعيوى للشعب    كانت هناك فصائل من الكهنة وكبار الكهنة وقادة الجيوش وأمراء البحار وشيوخ بندر التجار الذين كانوا يقتاتون من فضلات ثروة الفرعون التى كان ينهبها من قوت الشعب وخبزه  كانوا هناك ينظرون إلى مكاسبهم ومسالبهم الهائلة تذهب أدراج الرياح أو تكاد     وكانوا يتربصون

وحالوا دون إقامة حدود العدل على من ظلم ونهب وقتل  وكنت تراهم ما زالوا يعبدونه و ينحنون فى ذلة وضعة , وتراهم ينحنون فى صَغارٍ أمام جثة حية لفرعون عُتُلٍ زَنيم كانت  تنتظر التحنيط  وكانوا يتفانون فى العناية بتلك الجثة الذليلة التى تنتظرالتحنيط وبناء صرح يأويها بعد تمليحها   

رحل الفرعون ذليلاً ولكن الكهنوت هو الكهنوت    يرهبون الجثة الحية ويضعونها فى      أماكن العناية التى تليق بفرعون متوج , ولكن رويداً رويداً يبدو أنه حتى هؤلاء الكهنة وقادة الجيوش وأمراء البحار بدأوا يتخلصون من عقد السنين فى تأليه الفراعين وأمر أحد لكهنة الجدد بتفريق الجثث وإيداعها زنازين السجون . ...  رويداً رويداً بدأ الكهنة فى اللحاق بركب الشعب الذى ثار فوقف له الدهر وحيا

Great philosophers and thinkers have rendered judgments on Muhammad, the prophet of Islam. In reading Alphonse de Lamartine, we stand before a judge, from the age of enlightenment; a Writer, a Poet, a Politician and Revolutionary nobility with power, wisdom, leadership and certitude.

INTRODUCTION TO JEWS TIMELINE

Initially, all the tribes of Israel settling in Nasserah (Nazareth), out of whom, the family of Emran descended, embraced Jesus’s message and constituted the Nasara, to whom the Quran refers. Whereas, the Jews (Al-Yahood) were the biggest tribes who had settled Judea & Samaria, to whom the Quran refers as Al- Yahood. 

You will notice that, before Jesus (Eisa), the Quran never referred to them as Al-Yahood … This came only after Jesus … Before Jesus, All of them had been referred to as “ Banee Israeel” (the Children of Israel.) فآمنت طاىفة من بنى إسراىيل وكفرت طاىفة … Meaning some tribes of Bani Israeel Embraced Jesus and the Jews rejected him (Kafarat.)

Of exceptional note, historians follow this rule of thumb;  all the Jews belong to the Children of Israel ( Bani Israeel.) … But Not all the Children of Israel (Bani Israeel) are Jews.

Around mid-December 2010, a meeting was organized by the Geneva Initiative and brought together Israeli and Palestinian legislators with Israeli peace activists in Ramallah, Occupied Palestine. Prominent members present included Hanan Ashrawi who was making headlines as a prominent member of the PLO during the Arafat Era according to Julian Walsh of the BBC World Service. 

In the introduction to the interview, Julian Wash said that when the Madrid peace conference convened in October 1991, Ashrawi, a professor of English literature from Ramallah, was appointed member of the Palestinian negotiating team. 


She represented the new, enlightened face of the PLO: Palestinian patriot, peace-seeker, intellectual, woman and Christian all in one. The talks with the Israeli delegation were limping along and getting nowhere when the astounding news of the completion of the Oslo peace accords arrived unexpectedly in September 1993. 

Ashrawi said that when the first reports came in, she asked one of her colleagues: "Are you sure there's nothing about a settlement freeze? She said she could not disguise her anger at her colleagues from Tunis. She explained in the interview that the Palestinian representatives at the Oslo talks were living in exile and not sufficiently aware of what living under occupation and the theft of lands really meant.

She told BBC’s Julian Walsh that from the beginning, when they met with James Baker, they asked him to stop all settlements. He said the only way to stop them would be to start negotiations. And that has been the repeated mantra; … Negotiations will stop settlements. The only thing they got was settlement expansion, loss of land, and loss of credibility in the occupied territories; they saw there was a process for its own sake, without substance or application to reality … They were naïve, and they didn’t know it!

Asked about the role of the committee, she said that, among other things, the committee works against false arrests and torture, illegal dismissals from the police force and failure to heed court rulings. The BBC said that In January 1996, Ashrawi was elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council as an independent candidate from the Jerusalem district. No candidate received more votes than she did, Julian Wash explained in the one full hour program.

  

For three years, she was the Palestinian minister of higher education and research. She founded the Palestinian Institute for the Study of Democracy, which deals with leadership, women's rights, information and policy.

  

She said that In 2006, she became a member of the committee supervising the negotiations with the Israelis. Last year, she ran as an independent candidate for a seat on the 18-member PLO Executive Committee. She became the first woman member of this senior body. 

Julian Walsh asked her Almost 20 years have passed since she first took part in negotiations with Israelis. “Do you believe you will ever get to meet with them when they are no longer representing occupiers and occupied?

She said: "I believe the Israelis never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. When matters come close, something happens and they back down. They think they are not really occupiers because of the wall, which is both physical and metaphorical - they are spared the ugliness of the occupation."

Julian Walsh asked her what she wanted to leave the audience with, she said: “When I was asked in the '90s whether we would see a PA state before the end of the century, I said of course - that's what I promised my daughters - we owe it to our children. And now here we are, and it's heartbreaking. But we can't give up. Maybe we have lost our innocence. But I will never give up the dream.

The sleazy journalist’s story was based on the latest report by the Wiesenthal Center which is a Zionist owned and operated Israeli think tank … According to it, the number of ongoing investigations tipped 1500 cases in the year 2010 alone!

The head of this Wiesenthal Center Jerusalem branch was quoted on the NYT as saying there were two reasons for the rise in the number of prosecutions. 1)“It’s clear that we’re reaching the end of the period in which this work will be possible; because all suspects will be dead. 

This has motivated countries falling under the Zionist’s political will to make great efforts to prosecute former Nazis, the most recent and celebrated case was in the United States.

And 2)Many countries and Germany in particular have changed their laws under Jewish pressure, to allow more suspects – particularly those who were not officer class and those of non-German origin – to be prosecuted.” The increase in the number of German prosecutions was the most dramatic, up from 27 in 2008 to 1077 in 2009. And that was why the Israeli Center awarded Germany an A-grade for its efforts to prosecute ex-Nazis. Previously only the United States had been given the SWC’s top marks.

The Center gave nine countries failing grades for their investigative efforts -Norway, Sweden, Syria, Australia, Canada, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Had there been an institution working to bring Zionist war criminals to justice, it would have awarded failing grades to every country on the face of the Earth.
